Cerrejón coal is mined to the highest standards from a blend of seams whose individual calorific value ranges from 10,500 Btu/lb GAR to 11,800 Btu/lb GAR. This is an unwashed and crushed product.

Our typical D product at 11,300 Btu/lb GAR has the following characteristics:

• Typical ash content of about 10%
• Typical volatile matter ranges between 32% and 34%
• Low sulphur content of around 0.65%
