CMC - Coal Marketing Company Ltd (CMC) and Carbones del Cerrejón Ltd (Cerrejón) are sister companies which work together to meet our contractual commitments to customers in terms of quality, quantity and timely delivery. We have never declared Force Majeure.
Owned in equal parts by BHP Billiton plc, Anglo American plc and Xstrata plc, we benefit greatly from the technical expertise and international experience of our shareholders. With teamwork, professionalism and diligence, we strive to deliver excellence to all our customers and stakeholders.

CMC – Coal Marketing Company Ltd was launched in 2003 and, in response to growing market demand globally, a subsidiary office was established in Atlanta in 2005: Coal Marketing Company (USA) Inc.
Sales, service and technical support are managed from these two locations. To date Cerrejón has exported over 400 million metric tonnes. We operate 24 hours a day, 363 days a year.
